Until recently, Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class service was available only in the northern hemisphere. Now it is available to Australians travelling to Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
Service begins as you leave your door. A chauffeur-driven car collects you from home or office for the journey to the airport and the reverse service is extended at your destination.
Upper Class seats are huge and flip into a totally flat bed. They are fitted with linen, pillows, duvets, turn-down service and pyjamas called snooze suits. These are quite acceptable to wear in the bar some passengers are sufficiently comfortable to wear them into the terminal at transit stops!
Ottomans are provided if someone wants to sit for a chat or you want to hold a meeting. Comfort all the way!
Each seat has a fully adjustable screen with 20 channels including 50 films and more than 300 hours of entertainment. You can stop, start and fast forward and search for your favourite actor's films.
There are no set meal times. You are free to eat what and when you like: three-course meal, sandwiches, fresh fruit juice, breakfast in bed … nothing is a problem.
The bar area serves everything from orange juice to champagne. Snacks are available and it's a good place to meet fellow travellers, chat with the crew and stretch your legs.
If you fancy some pampering, you can request a hand or back massage, face and scalp massage, a hydrating hand treatment or a relaxing shoulder massage.
