Villa Provence in the Hunter Valley is a little bit of France, but a lot easier to reach. This beautiful villa is on eight hectares in the heart of the Pokolbin vineyards and oozes peace and serenity.
The villa has nine self-contained luxury suites with queen bedroom and sitting area and a spacious lounge room with French doors leading to a terrace. Beautifully manicured lawns and colourful gardens provide a relaxing outlook as you enjoy a plunger coffee, maybe a glass of one of the local wines or the continental breakfast, which is delivered to your room. Sunsets over the Brokenback Ranges are beautiful, particularly with bounding kangaroos in the foreground.
A small kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, china, cutlery and glassware, television and video, fluffy bathrobes, European doonas and air conditioning are all part of the villa's appointments. There's a pool and spa for relaxing after a hard day of wine-tasting, bushwalking, horseriding, ballooning or skydiving, or you can enjoy a game of petanque in the villa's courtyard.
Golfers can enjoy a swing at nearby Cypress Lakes Resort or The Vintage. Many people enjoy a romantic carriage ride through the town.
There are four cellar doors a stroll from Villa Provence and plenty of others a little further away. A transfer service is available if you prefer not to drive.
The Hunter Valley offers some of Australia's finest cuisine and there are many world-class restaurants within easy reach.
