We have found the perfect beach escape … not just for you but for your friends too!
High above the southern end of the Palm Beach peninsula, Rockridge enjoys wonderful ocean views and northern sunlight. Its aspect is north-east to due north to north-west, so the outlook is very special, taking in Barrenjoey Lighthouse, Pittwater, Whale Beach and beyond.
Built as a gentleman's residence in the 1940s, the four-bedroom timber and stone beachouse is less than an hour's drive from the city, but offers peace and privacy.
The original beautifully-crafted joinery, stone fireplace and timber flooring remain, but delightful modern facilities have been added pool and hot spa are there to enjoy if you fancy a change from the beach.
An open-plan living, dining and sun room offers plenty of space. The four bedrooms are made up of two king rooms, one queen and one bunk room. There are two bathrooms and a powder room, a large kitchen and well-equipped laundry. There are ceiling fans and gas heating and quality toiletries are provided.
The balconies, decks and patios have outdoor lounging areas, deckchairs, dining furniture, sun umbrellas and hammocks and a gas barbecue is there for outdoor cooking. For indoor entertainment, there are televisions, VCR, stereo and CD player.
The half hectare of bush and tropical palms offers a total escape, as there are no immediate neighbours. The Rockpool steps lead right to the beach.
The Palm Beach area offers plenty of dining and shopping choices. You can enjoy the surfing beaches or the more gentle Pittwater side of the peninsula.
