Everyone loves to receive a postcard from a lucky family member or friend who is on holidays. How often, though, do they arrive well after the sender has returned home? And from the holiday-maker's point-of-view, sometimes it's just not easy tracking down a stamp, finding a post office and really, some of the ready-made postcards on sale just don't represent your holiday.
Well, if you have a mobile phone with a camera, that is all resolved.
All you need to do is take the phone and text it with a message and the receiver's address to MMS Postcards.
Dermott Brereton put it to the test when he was in Africa and it arrived safely in a couple of days!
The foolproof service costs $3.50 for Australian deliveries and $6.50 for international deliveries. You can send a picture of yourself with a wild animal, famous landmark, a new holiday love, whatever takes your fancy.
Instructions are simple:
- In the text field enter the word NAME followed by the recipient's name.
- Then enter ADDRESS followed by the recipient's full address.
- Type in MESSAGE and write your personal message it takes up to around a generous 500 characters. Then just send to 0428 AU POST. From overseas +61 428 287 678.
